Greet Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met June 20 at the post home with eight members present. President Juanita Stone called the meeting to order, Chaplain Margie Stone opened with a prayer from the Legionette. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in Unison.

Secretary Barb Kucera read the minutes of the previous meeting, which were approved as read. Linda Youngbluth gave the treasurer’s report, which was approved. Juanita Stone congratulated Kathy Geiman on winning the nomination for State Chaplain, therefore Kathy resigned the secretarial position for next year. We appreciate Bonnie Soukup for taking the secretarial position for next year.

Community services Chairman Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent. Membership was reported 77 members paid.

Unfinished business: Convection of the bylaws who made then voted on as corrected, motion carried. LindaYoungbluthreportedonState Convention. New business: A discussion was held on who to donate to and how much. Juanita Stone announced that the new State Commander’s, Fred Nelson, homecoming will be held on Saturday, June 29th in Spearfish. The new State Auxiliary President Teresa Hun-timer’s homecoming is Saturday, July 20th in Dell Rapids. A thank you was given to Delores Kotab for donating the quarter basket to the Child-Welfare Foundation.

As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Margie Stone read the prayer for peace, President Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
