Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met March 20, 2019 at the Post home with 13 members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Kathy Geiman opened with a prayer from the Legionette. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.

Secretary Barb Kucera read the minutes of the previous meeting, whichwereapprovedasread.Community Service chairman Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent. Membership was reported-74 members paid. Linda Youngbluth gave the treasurer’s report which was approved. Janice Coleman’s report was read; she reported the plans for the District 8 in Yankton. She gave out the Senator phone numbers for people to get a hold of them. She reported that the national president wanted to honor the women who have served. Janice’s report was on the State Convention which is June 6-9 in Sioux Falls-plan to attend. The year 2020 membership dues will be $25, jr. dues $5.

Unfinished Business: the final plans for our soup day and bake sale. We will add pork sandwich along with the ham and egg salad. All members are asked to please come and help set up and bring something for the bake sale and/ or a dessert. We all should be at the Legion around 8 a.m.

New Business: Delegates for the Spring meeting are Rita K, Juanita S, Barb K and Kathy A. Alternates: Linda Y, Judy C, Delores K and Barb C. Thank you to Carol T for donating the quarter basket to the Child Welfare Foundation. As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Kathy Geiman read the prayer for peace. President Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
