Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met September 20 at the Post home with 13 members and three guests present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Kathy Geiman opened with prayer from the Legionette. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison. Girl State delegate Margaret Barnett introduced her parents. She then gave a very informative report on her Girl State week. Our past president Shirley Baker presented her with a Girls State Pin. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The treasurers report was given and approved.

Correspondence was read from District President Janice Coleman and State President Jeannine Loesch. No report was made on membership. Community Service Chairman Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent.

Unfinished business: Linda Youngbluth reported on the upcoming cancer rummage, the days October 17, 18 and 19. We will have a meal Wednesday night from 5-8, volunteers and food were lined up.

New business: Marlene Stone needed members to help with giving the third graders of Wagner and Marty Schools dictionaries.

Thank you to Margie Stone for the donation of the money basket to the children and Youth bear.

As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Kathy Geiman read the prayer for peace. President Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
