ALL-STATE CHOIR
Kinley Doom
Last weekend, the AllState Choir quartet attended the South Dakota All-State Choir performance in Rapid City. The quartet consists of Grace Vanderlei- Soprano, Kinley Doom- Alto, Noah Watchorn- Tenor, and Landon Thury- Bass. All day Friday and half of Saturday the quartet attended full choir rehearsals to run through and perfect all seven of their songs. A couple of the kids were asked questions about their experience on the trip, here were their responses. This year was Landon's first year making it to All-State. Landon’s favorite part of All-State was performing the song Papa Loko. Landon had a very fun and eye-opening experience. This was also Kinley’s first year making it to All-State. Kinley’s favorite part was attending the dual pianos performance, and getting to hear the Elementary Honor Choir students sing. Kinley said that the experience at All-State was very fun. It was cool to experience the difference between singing in a choir of about 45 kids to singing in a choir with 920 kids.
