FINGERS AND TOES DAY
By
: Haley Gillette

Sometimes people will make a joke when someone has trouble doing simple math. “Were you able to count that high with your shoes on?” Well, shoes off Tuesday, April 19, would have been very appropriate! It was Fingers and Toes Day at Avon School.

Fingers and Toes Day is literally the day you can count the remaining days of school with the digits on your hands and feet. As the end of school gets closer, the students can count the last days of school without calculators. It's an amazing but sad/terrifying feeling for all the teachers and students because the summer is near…but there is still so much to do before the end of school. Do you know what’s even scarier? By the time you read this, it will be closer to just fingers only.

According to Mrs. Christena Voigt, “I'm excited to spend the summer with my children but sad not to see the students every day.”
