ACTION PACKED NIGHT AT WAGNER SPEEDWAY
Due to the extreme heat and humidity on Friday evening, July 19 the races were held on Sunday night, July 22 with the evening race sponsored by Commercial State Bank. The results of the evening follow.
In the Hobby stock division it was Matt Goth #17 of Madison with the win followed by Clifford Houser of Kimball in car #1x getting 2nd.
In the Pro/Super Stock class last weeks winner Brylee Gough in car #83x took first place followed by car #64 of Cory Yeigh in 2nd, both drivers are from Sioux Falls.
Next up was the B-Mods with car #23jr of Dudley Schroeder Jr., getting the win with Camden Myers of Ethan in car #1 finishing 2nd.
That found us with the final race of the evening, the Tri State Late Models Series. It was hometown driver Justin Havranek drawing the pole position to start the 20-lap race around the Wagner Speedway. After several restarts, car #14Bm of Quentin Myers took the checkered flag with Gale Vogt with car #1V getting second. All classes had great car counts with great racing action.
The next race will be held this Friday night, July 26. We will be hosting the Horse Power for Hunger Night. For those attending, for every item of non-perishable food item donated a ticket will be given for a prize drawing at intermission. All items will be given to the Wagner Food Pantry. So come out enjoy great races and help the food pantry. Racing begins at 8:00 p.m., gates open at 5:00 p.m.
