ACT PREP COURSE TO BE OFFERED TO AREA STUDENT

As juniors and seniors focus upon their future and what they need to do to get ready for the next step in life, they are also aware that step might include taking an entrance exams, such as an ACT test. This is a test that often concerns students as it sometimes determines what opportunities they may or may not get to consider after high school. Some students may want a specific score to qualify for a scholarship or just want to meet the requirements of entering a specific educational program or college of their choice.

While the ACT test is important, students should also understand that many institutions also take into account other factors as well for admission. For students who do not want to just rely of a good test day, some will purchase an ACT Study Guide to prepare while others will take a special preparation course to become involved with. One such course is the “ACT PREP COURSE”, which was created and designed to help students overcome the concerns that some students have about the test. This course provides a text book, test preparation instruction, classroom discussions, testing strategy to use and lots of practice testing with the sub-test areas of reading, English, math and science.

Students taking this course generally come from a variety of different area high schools and they often have the same goal in mine, to just be able to do their best. This course will be held at the Armour High School in early March so students are ready for the April and June test dates. The deadline to apply for the course isTuesday, February 28 or when the 21 seats available are filled! Students and parents with questions about this course and the cost involved, should contact Dana Sanderson as soon as possible at: danasanderson51@gmail.com or telephone at 605-491-0804.
