ABBYS CLOSES DOORS AFTER 25 YEARS

A longstanding business in Pickstown, Abbys, will soon be closing its doors as it is being purchased by R.F. Buche. Pat Abdouch has owned and operated Abbys for the past twenty-five years, purchasing the store on April 15, 1998. She and her long-time partner Richard (Dick) Fuchs have both been permanent fixtures at Abbys. Pat has enjoyed being in the hospitality industry since she was 13. She has enjoyed meeting all the people throughout the years and being able to serve them like family when they visit.

Anglers are sure to miss Dick's fishing reports. Between Dick’s love of fishing and knowing the right spots and talking to all the fishermen who come through daily, Dick could tell you where to go, what to use and at what depth.

Pat and Dick plan to finally retire and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, and being able to attend the grandchildren’s sporting events. Dick is planning to do a lot more fishing. Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement!
