The Wagner SD AARP Chapter 962 meeting February 19, 2019, 12:30 p.m. was opened with Pres. Jane presiding and leading us all in saying the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

Old Business: Last months business meeting was ready Sec. Dona. Treasurer's report was given by Tres. Janis. JoEllen sent two birthday cards. Motion to approve and correct was made by Sandy and seconded by JoEllen.

New Business: Plans were made to attend a play in Mitchell, "Bare Foot In The Park", on Sunday, February 24 at 2 p.m.

Bingo at Wagner Good Samaritan Home, AARP attending on Thursday, February 28 at 6:30 p.m. AARP Bingo at the Lake Andes Health Care Center will be Friday, March 22 at 2 p.m.

The next AARP meeting will be Tuesday, March 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Park View Villa in their dining room.

Motion to adjourn was made by JoEllen and seconded by Janis.

March 17, St. Patrick's Day: the wearing of the green/plus Shamrocks.

Shamrock: a plant of folk legend. Mostly green with leaves composed of three leaflets associated with St. Patrick and Ireland.

Blarney: a stone in Blarney Castle, near Cork, Ireland, held to bestow skill in flattery on those who kiss it.

St. Patrick's Day: an Irish national holiday celebrated in Dublin, Ireland in honor of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.
