An 80-year-old tree was removed Thursday, November 2nd from Linda Krcil’s backyard in Avon. The tree was a silver maple that was beginning to decay and become a hazard to neighboring houses and property. Useable logs were taken from the tree to be milled for firewood. The tree removal and cutting was done by Riley Petrik of Petrik Tree Service of Avon.
