2020 PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS
The race of Charles Mix County Commissioner for District 2 between incumbent Neil Von Eschen and challenger Colin Soukup brings a new face to the board as Soukup took the win with 139 votes to Von Eschen's 94.
The race for Charles Mix States Attorney had incumbent Steven Cotton challenged by Pamela Hein. Cotton took the win in this race with 682 votes to Hein's 361.
It was a close battle for Representative for State Senator District 21 as Erin Tobin challenged incumbent Lee Qualm. At the county poll they were very close with Qualm leading with 582 to Tobin's 580, but when the polls closed in the district, Tobin secured the seat with 2,155 votes to Qualm's 1,366.
The race for Representative for United States Senator found incumbent Mike Rounds challenged by Scyller Borglum. Rounds took the win in the county with 886 to Borglum's 274 and statewide with 70,365 to Borglum's 23,164 votes.
Representative for United States Representative had incumbent Dusty Johnson (938) with the win in the county over challenger Liz Marty May (224) and statewide Johnson had 71,496 votes to May's 21,779.
The Democratic nomination for President in South Dakota was won by Joseph R. Biden over Benie Sanders.
