Funeral services for Vivian Olson, 92, of Wagner, will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6 at the Pickstown Community Church in Pickstown. Burial is in the Randall Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be the hour prior to services at the church. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Vivian Darlene Olson was born March 2, 1927 in Randall Valley, the daughter of Harry and Evodia (Pearson) Mostrom. She died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner.

Vivian was raised in the Randall Valley. She was united in marriage to Robert Leonard Olson on October 18, 1947. They moved to the Black Hills in 1955 and lived at the Ghost Canyon Ranch, where Leonard was foreman. She supplied entertainment at the ranch campground by playing guitar and singing at fireside sing alongs. They moved back to the family farm in 1966. Leonard and Vivian owned and operated Prairie Studio from 1976 until they retired. She taught art classes to many people through the years at the studio. She was a member of the Pickstown Community Church.

Vivian will be remembered for her love of art, music and volunteering her talent of singing and playing for many years at the Good Samaritan Center.

Thankful for having shared her life are her three children: Jerry and wife Wanda of Sioux Falls, Donn and wife Dianne of Columbus, NE, and Barbara and husband Mike Boor of Yankton; five grandchildren: Tydus Boor, Max Boor, Tracy Olson, Olivia Olson and Colin Olson; and sister Naomi Chelstrom of St. Paul, MN.

Vivian was preceded in death byher husband Leonard on June 19, 2001, grandson Jarred Olson, sister Harriet Honnette and brother Elmer Mostrum.
