VICKY WILSON

VICKY WILSON

Vicky Rennae Wilson (Uecker), the daughter of a farmer and an x-ray technician, came into the world on December 9, 1963; she left us too soon as a devoted wife, beloved daughter, sister, mom and grandma on February 2, 2022.

The second daughter of Richard and Beryle Uecker, Vicky was born and raised on the family farm with her two sisters in Wagner. She was a kind and generous girl who sought to better the lives of those around her. She stepped out into the world, earned her Physical Therapy degree and met her lifelong sweetheart, Troy Wilson, at the University of Oklahoma.

Troy only had to ask twice and the two married in Wagner on a cold January 2, 1988. The happily married couple settled in Raton, New Mexico and put down roots; Troy and Vicky built their house on the side of Bartlett Mesa and raised three children. They never missed an opportunity to travel, whether across the country, around the globe, or just to visit family; Vicky was Troy’s perfect co-pilot.

Vicky had a rewarding career as a physical therapist in Northern New Mexico; traveling from Raton, to Angel Fire, to Clayton, she catered to the needs of New Mexico’s youth. Even in retirement she continued to serve her community, while enjoying all the perks of becoming a grandmother. The epitome of kindness, Vicky cast a light of love to all around her. A force to be reckoned with, but also a source of warmth, generosity and unwavering support, she is a woman to emulate.

Vicky is cherished in memory, but in no greater measure than by her husband, Troy Wilson to whom she was married for 34 years, her children Gavin with wife Bianca, Riley with wife Brianne and Callie with husband Jonathan, her mother Beryle Uecker, sisters Lynn with husband Rick Soulek and Dawn with husband Greg Randall and her two beautiful grandsons, Thaddeus and Gideon Wilson. She joins her father, Richard Uecker, grandparents Arthur and Melba Johnson and his second wife Vivian, Bryan and Marie Uecker and nephew Tyler Soulek in eternal peace.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 10th beginning with the Rosary at St. Patrick, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., services will be held at 10:30 and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 USA / donors@stjude.org or Pre-Born! PO BOX 78221, Indianapolis, IN, 46278
