Due to the current health concerns, private services for Thomas J. Beeson, 93, of Wagner were held and memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial with military honors was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Thomas Justin Beeson was born May 7, 1926 at Wagner, the son of Raymond Sr. and Grace (Sell) Beeson. He died Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner.

Tom attended school through the eighth grade and received a good education in the Army. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Tom was united in marriage to Alice Gau on October 21, 1952 in Geddes. Tom farmed in the Wagner area and also worked for a time as a dairy helper in Washington. Tom worked for the City of Wagner, the Marty Mission farm, Leo’s Service, for the church as a janitor, Beeson Sanitation for 20 years, and the rubble site. Tom also helped Alice at AJ’s Upholstery and Rotary.

Tom was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, American Legion and the VFW.

Tom will be remembered for his love of playing Wahoo and shooting a pistol.

Thankful for having shared his life are his children: Bette (Curt) Koehn of Avon, Ruth (Rahn) Paulson of Springfield, Judy (David) Ishmael of Wagner, Norma (Dennis) Soulek of Armour and Lynn (Paul) Namminga of Lake Andes; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Shawn (Toni) Beeson and their children Zayne, Xander, Brodey, McKhail, Melissa Beeson and her children Kylee and Kynlee, Jaime (Eric) Wiechmann and their children George and James, Justin (Jill) Paulson and daughter Kaitlin, Benjamin Paulson, Lucan (Amanda) Paulson and daughter Abbigail, Katherine (Eli) Stines and their children Avery, Edith and Henry, William (Linda) Paulson, Nicholas (Amanda) Ishmael and their children Isabel, Emily and Henry, Matthew (Laura) Ishmael and their children Evelyn and Sophie, Anna Ishmael and daughter Cattibrie, Carmen Soulek, Donavan (Maggi) Soulek, Lincoln Namminga and Grant Namminga; brothers Larry (Sylvia) Beeson of Wagner and Francis (JoAnn) Beeson of Dante; sisters Clara Kafka of Wagner and Irene (Jim) Mullen of Carrollton, TX; and sisters-inlaw Beverly Beeson of Wagner and Donna Beeson of Sequim, WA.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Alice (Gau) Beeson on March 10, 2007, sons John Beeson on February 5, 1999 and Paul Beeson on December 18, 1988; parents; siblings: Delbert, Raymond Jr. Robert and Richard Beeson and Ann Schmuck; and his brothers and sisters-in-law: Arlene and Darlene Beeson, Bill Kafka, Dick Kafka, John Gau, Frances (Frank) Cahoy, James (Grace) Gau, Elizabeth (Jim) Hosek, Louise (Joe) Sanders, Marie (Floyd) Gould, Leo (Beverly) Gau, Josephine (Ed) Kolecka and Vincent Gau.
