Sandra Ann Weddell, 64, of Lake Andes died November 13, 2023 in her home in Lake Andes. Funeral services were held Friday, November 17 at Marty Community Center in Marty. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Sandy Weddell was born in Yankton to Ernest Weddell Sr. and Elaine Little June 9, 1959. Sandy was raised in Yankton and the Sioux Falls area. She graduated from Crow Creek High School. Sandy lived most of her life in Seattle, WA, but recently moved back to South Dakota.

Sandy was kind to everyone and had a cheerful smile wherever she went. She was a huge Seahawks fan, had a passion for playing pool, jamming to music, camping, cooking and spending time with family. She will be remembered as a loving, kindhearted, funny, energetic Grandma who loved taking her grandkids to powwows, zoos and aquamarines. She will be deeply missed by her children.

Sandy is survived by her mother Elaine Little; daughters: Sophia Weddell, Bessie Weddell, and Rose Resendiz; son Wambli Dolezal; brothers: Walt Weddell, Ernest Weddell Jr., Gary Weddell, Robin Weddell and Perry Little; sisters: Dori Junker, Ernestine Weddell, Connie La Roche and Divana Weddell.

Sandy is preceded in death by her father Ernest Weddell Sr.; sisters Diane Weddell and Mary Rose Little; brothers Randy Little and Larry Weddell; grandmother Bessie Leclaire; niece Randi Lynn Gullikson; nephew Cody Gullikson; and many other relatives.
