Funeral services for Rebecca Bruguier, 30, of Marty were Monday, May 18 at the Marty Community Center in Marty. Burial was in the Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Lake Andes. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Rebecca Ann Bruguier was born June 8, 1989 in Yankton to Stuart and Matilda “Pinkie” (Horned Eagle) Bruguier. She died May 13, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. She has six brothers: Ben, Richard, Douglas, Gregory, Lawrence and Baptiste; as well as three sisters: Sara, Meredith and Constance.

All of Rebecca’s years she attended Marty Indian School and later attended the Ihanktowan Community College in Marty. She worked a short while at the Fort Randall Casino as a desk clerk in the hotel. Rebecca loved the movie ATL, the rapper T.I., and cheered on her Pittsburg Steelers. She will be remembered for one of her favorite songs “Neon Moon” by Brooks and Dunn.

She spent a lot of her time helping her family by watching her beloved nieces and nephews. Rebecca will be remembered for her smile, kind heart and good company.
