Ray Berry, son of Charlie and Neffie (Willis) Berry passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, January in Sioux Falls at the Dougherty Hospice House.

Ray was born in Ardmore OK on October, 20 1933. He was raised in Ardmore and then moved to California for a short period of time and then returned to Oklahoma where he lived most of his years.

He worked as an escort pilot driver and set up mobile homes for a mobile trailer company for 30 plus years.

He met the love of his life, Dorothy Marks, in 1977 and lived happily together for 31 years until her passing.

Ray was a veteran that served in the Air Force for nine years who then honorable discharged as a staff sergeant.

Ray was a good provider to his family. He was a kind and gentle person who loved dogs and cats, rescuing strays when possible.

His final years in the nursing home Ray felt a closeness to those who worked with him and would ask about staff frequently.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters and his living beautiful wife Dorothy.

He is survived by his four stepchildren, Melissa, Vernon, Tina and Kim, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
