Funeral services for Norma Reinschmidt, 87, of Wagner were Saturday, September 4 at The Lighthouse in Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Norma Mae Reinschmidt was born on the farm northeast of Wagner to Jim and Marie (Ober) Holec on January 1, 1934. She died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at her home in Wagner.

Norma was married to Doyle Reinschmidt on October 14, 1952. They celebrated 68 years together. Two children were born to their union, Ronald and Carolyn. Doyle and Norma began farming south of Wagner on the river bottom. After several years of flooding, they bought a farm west of Ravinia and farmed there until their retirement.

Norma was a mother and farm wife who loved the farm. She worked in the field and hauled grain at harvest time. She was an excellent baker of pancakes, kolaches, rohliky and long johns. She enjoyed gardening and shared the bounty of her harvest with others. Norma was a faithful servant of God and belonged to the Lighthouse Church in Wagner.

Thankful for having shared her life are her husband Doyle of Wagner; her son Ronald (Patrice) Reinschmidt of Las Vegas, NV; her daughter Carolyn (Greg) Mathis of Wagner; four grandchildren: Alyssa Mathis (Shawn Bauer), Ashley (John) Gullikson, Nathan (Rhonda) Mathis and Chase Reinschmidt; three great grandchildren: Jackson and Avery Gullikson and Natalie Mathis; one sister, Gladys Metteer of Sebeka, MN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and many other loved ones.
