Funeral services for Myron Leclaire, 56, of Ravinia, were held Wednesday, January 20, at the White Swan Community Center, Lake Andes. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, Greenwood.

Myron Todd LeClaire was born to Bernice Medicine Bear and Philip LeClaire, Jr. in Wagner, on May 3, 1964 at the PHS. He died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner.

Myron spent his younger years growing up in Sioux Falls. At the age of 18, Myron moved with his mother and siblings to Durango, CO. There he met and married his first wife Leigh Ann Harrison/LeClaire. With this union they had two children: Kyle Roy and Adrian Taylor.

Myron got his apprenticeship as a journeyman electrician in Casper, WY and moved his family to Washington where he lived for ten years.

He married his second wife, Eugenie (aka Jenny) Faller in 2001, with this union they had one son, Sean Ray.

He spent the rest of his remaining years between New Mexico and South Dakota.

Myron will be remembered most for being a great dad, son, brother, nephew, uncle, grandpa and cousin, and mostly his raspy voice, loud laugh and his “don’t mess with me” kind of walk.

Myron is survived by his sons: Kyle LeClaire of Artesia, NM, Adrian LeClaire of Denver, CO, and Sean LeClaire of Vancouver, WA; one granddaughter, Mia LeClaire of Farmington, NM; his mother Bernice Medicine Bear of Ravinia; his brothers: Keith LeClaire of Ravinia, Randy (Lorinda) Medicine Bear of Loveland, CO, Bruce (Margaret) LeClaire of Durango, CO; his auntie Lydia Antelope of Lake Andes and many nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.

Myron was preceded in death by his father, Philip LeClaire, Jr.; paternal grandparents Philip and Hannah LeClaire; maternal grandparents David and Elsie Medicine Bear; sister Darla LeClaire and cousins Monica LeRoy and Cindy St. Pierre.
