KAREN WUNDER

Funeral services for Karen Wunder, 82, of Wagner were held Saturday, November 26 at Peters Funeral Home. Burial was in the Delmont Cemetery.

Karen E. Wunder was born in Fargo, ND on September 17, 1940 to Kenneth and Rosemary (Chamberlin) Sadler. She passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Lake Andes Senior Living Center.

Karen married Wayne Wunder on November 12, 1959. To this union five children were born: Susan, Sandra, Jo Della, James and Robert.

Karen was a homemaker for many years, raising children, gardening, and she raised and butchered chickens. She loved to sew and was a fabulous seamstress, making many of her children’s clothes. All her children were usually dressed in the same outfits, especially during the holidays. Karen loved hats and shoes and she had many.

Karen graduated from Wagner High School in 1958. Later in life she went to school and graduated from National American University with a Travel and Hospitality Degree. She traveled with her RV to New York, California, Arizona and Colorado.

Karen is survived by her five children: Susan (Art) Christensen of Sioux Falls, Sandra (Nick) Digesualdo of Castle Rock, CO, Jo Della (Todd) Schlund of Locust Grove, VA, James (Terese) Wunder of Wagner, and Robert (Trenna) Wunder of Worthing; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers: Richard (Jo Ann) Sadler of Austin, TX and Joseph (Edie) Sadler of Brandon.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; Wayne Wunder; brother James Sadler; and daughter-in-law, Missy Wunder.
