Juanita Moe, 88 of Sinai, died October 3, 2019 at her home in Sinai.

Juanita Pierce was born at Bruce to Vernon and Rhoda (Rovig) Pierce. She had three brothers: Glenn, Roger and Vernon Jr. Juanita attended school in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1949.

On October 18, 1949, she was united in marriage to Ray Moe at Pipestone, MN and together they enjoyed 66 years of matrimony. Juanita enjoyed her years as a stay-at-home mother caring for Brenda and Brad and tending to the needs of the home. When the children were in high school, she began working outside the home. She spent 6 1/2 years working as a CAN in the Arlington and Volga nursing homes and then worked 26 years in food service at SDSU.

Juanita was a member of Sinai American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the ladies church group.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Dana) Sanderson of Wagner, a son, Bradley (Laurie) Moe of Sinai, six grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Fette, Adam (Kristen) Sanderson, Carrie (Phillip) Nest, Jasen Moe and Carrie, Bradley (Ja'Mae) Moe, Burten (Chelsea) Moe, 17 great-grandchildren, one brother,Glenn(Bonita)Pierceandone sister-in-law, Jean Pierce.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, two brothers, Roger and Vernon Pierce.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moe were Tuesday, October 15 at the Sinai Lutheran Church in Sinai, with Pastor Dan Overbo officiating, burial was in the Arlington City Cemetery. Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
