Funeral services for Jimmy Gene Ehrisman, 92, of Wagner were Wednesday, July 3 at the Wagner Community Church. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy "Jim" Gene Ehrisman was born in Wagner on August 12, 1926, the son of Adolph and Zala (Benson) Ehrisman. He died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Majestic Bluffs in Yankton.

Jim married Florine Reinschmidt in Clifton, OK on September 24, 1946. Together they farmed in the Ravinia area until they retired and moved into Wagner in 1990.

Jim was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Wagner. He helped with 4-H as they were raising their kids.

Jim will be remembered for his love of square dancing, ballroom dancing, fishing, hunting and playing shuffleboard. They enjoyed traveling to Texas to spend their winters for 19 years. During their time in Texas they belonged to a group of people who traveled to Progresso, Mexico every Christmas day, where they handed out toys and hot dogs to over 500 underprivileged children.

Thankful for having shared his life are his wife Florine of Yankton; two sons: Terry (Jan) Ehrisman of Lincoln, NE and Tommy (Ann) Ehrisman of Hooksett, NH; five grandchildren: Rosalee (Alex) Garcia, Jason Ehrisman, Shane Ehrisman, Christopher Ehrisman and Nikolas (April) Warejcka; two great grandchildren, Torey and Paxton Warejcka; son-in-law, Doug Warejcka; two brothers: Dan (JoAnn) Ehrisman of Yankton and Don (Pamela) Ehrisman of Grand Island, NE; and sister Sue Wierhim of Hastings, NE.

Jim was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Warejcka and his parents.
