Funeral Services for Jeune A. Eddy, 86, were held Friday, January 18 at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Burial was in Allentown Cemetery following the service.

Jeune A. Eddy, 86, passed away on January 14, 2019 at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center.

Jeune was born June 21, 1932 in Lake Andes, to Henry and Rose (Hightower) Wheeler who both preceded her in death. On June 11, 1956 she married Dick Eddy who preceded her in death on April 22, 2012.

Jeune graduated from Lake Andes High School in 1950. She then received her Bachelors degree in Education from South Dakota State University and her Masters degree in School Counseling from Bowling Green State University. She started her career in Yankton as a Heath and Physical Education teacher. She then came to Lima, OH and started at Lima Central High School for one year. She then went to Shawnee High School and was a teacher for her first ten years and then became the school guidance counselor and retired after thirty years. Jeune took great pride in her job and enjoyed playing a role in every students life. She was also a cheer and swim coach at Shawnee, where her swim team was 1978 State Runner Up. She was a member of the Shawnee School Board, Apollo School Board and President of The Ohio State University Parents Association. Juene was an avid sports fan and her favorite team was the Buckeyes!

Juene is survived by her children, Charlotte (Vern) Cornett of Hindman, KY, Dorothy (Mike) White of Winter Haven, FL, Rick (Laura) Eddy of Lima, OH, grandchildren, Coral White of Winter Haven, FL, Sommer White of Lima, OH, Ryan White of Winter Haven, FL, Ritchie Eddy of Lima, OH, Raven Spencer of Lima, OH, Falon Spencer of Lima, OH, great-grandchildren, Keegan Patterson of Winter Haven, FL, Aria Patterson of Winter Haven, FL, numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Bob Wheeler and Terry (Joanne) Wheeler.
