Funeral services for James “Jim” Moysis Jr., 64, of Yankton were held Thursday, October 19 at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery in Wagner. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

James Moysis Jr. was born February 28, 1959 to Alvin and Delores (Soulek) Moysis. Jim died on October 16, 2023 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital after battling with cancer. He attended Wagner School. Jim loved his Kit Kats and watching television especially sports and crime shows. Jim enjoyed going to the car races. When he was younger, he loved to go fishing and playing video games. While he loved his time spent with family, he really enjoyed playing cards with them.

Jim worked at home on the farm and for friends and neighbors. He was known for always showing up and being early. For many years he worked at Stockman's Livestock in Yankton along with Menards. Later, Jim found himself in Wichita, KS where he worked at a restaurant for several years. This past summer, he moved back to Yankton.

Thankful for having shared his life, he leaves behind siblings Jeannie (Dan) Uherka, Sally Medricky, Joanie (Mark) VanDuysen, Tom Moysis and Dennis Moysis; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Delores and his grandparents.
