GARY PETRIK

A memorial service for Gary Lee Petrik, with military honors, will be held Saturday, October 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Goglin Funeral Home in Tyndall.

Gary Lee Petrik was born June 4th, 1952, in Tyndall. He passed peacefully in his sleep on October 20th, 2023, at Kingsley Specialty Care in Kingsley, IA at the age of 71.

Gary is the son of Felix Roy Petrik and Shirley Lorraine Petrik (Pyper). Gary attended Bon Homme County schools before he enlisted into the Army. After his five years of service throughout Alaska and Oklahoma, Gary attended the University of South Dakota-Springfield for a diesel mechanic program.

Gary married Rose Ann Van-DeZande and had two children, Raymond and Jeannie Petrik. Gary spent most of his adult life working for IBP/Tyson Foods. In his free time, he loved to fish and hunt throughout South Dakota.

Gary is survived by his brother, son, daughter and granddaughter.
