Eric Flood died Monday, July 17, at his home in Uhland, Texas. Funeral services were 10 a.m., Friday, July 28, at the Marty Community Center. Burial was in St Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Eric Allen Flood was brought into the world by Ate Earl Keith Flood Sr. and Ina Darcy Lynn (Frazier) Flood on February 18, 1972 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.

Eric attended Marty Indian School and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts at United Tribes Technical College (UTE), Bismark, North Dakota. Eric was employed in various positions at the Fort Randall Casino, he also worked in different cities like Yankton and Vermillion and Bismark, ND.

Eric was a caring, sharing person, and an amazing dancer, his teacher was Auntie Julie. Growing up Auntie Julie would have dance contests with all he cousins back in the Greenwood Housing Days. Eric won trophies for dancing and halloween contests over the years.

Eric was a very loving person to all his relatives and friends. If you knew him, you knew you never had to worry about anything, because what was his was yours. Eric was meticulous of his looks and surroundings, if he stayed at your house it was spotless.

Eric met his fiancé Bradley Rotterman, January 5, 2018 at the Fort Randall Casino and together both moved to Austin, TX on November 9, 2019.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandparents Marie (Heart) Sergeant, Moses and Aberdeen (Zephier) Heart, Don and Angela Rouillard, auntie Patricia Marie Frazier and brother Richard Smith.

Eric is survived by: his life partner Bradley Rotterman and parents Earl and Darcy (Frazier) Flood; brothers Earl and Josephine, Karl, Nicolas Flood and Luke Dvoracek; sisters Kayla Flood and Nickalas Schroder, Rhonda hare, Sara Dvoracek, uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives.
