A celebration of life for Elouise J. Fisher, age 9 days, was held Friday, October 6, at the United Church of Christ in Yankton. Burial followed at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory was entrusted with arrangements.

Elouise “Ellie” Joyce Fisher, 9 days old, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 29, 2023, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born Wednesday, September 20, 2023, to loving parents Robin Rolston and Gary Fisher. She was welcomed by her big sister Olivia Rolston who had long awaited her arrival. She was born a healthy, strong 9-pound 4-ounce baby. She even rolled onto her right side when she was one day old.

Ellie enjoyed being held and snuggled by friends and family. She gave us a lifetime of love during her short time on earth. She loved holding hands and playing on the floor with her sister Olivia. One of Ellie’s favorite things was doing skin to skin with her daddy on his chest. She enjoyed her late-night feedings and snuggle time with mommy. She enjoyed stroller time with anyone who would take her. She also liked going on car rides to Scooter’s with her mom and sister.

We were looking forward to seeing the person Ellie would become, watching her grow, and seeing all her milestones. We were prepared to help her overcome any obstacles that life may have thrown her way. She will be greatly missed.

Ellie will be lovingly remembered by her father Gary Fisher, mother Robin Rolston, sister Olivia Rolston, Grandmother Diane Rolston, grandparents Lee and Dianne Fisher, and many cousins, aunts and uncles, both by relation and choice. She will be welcomed in heaven by a special great-great aunt Joyce Broz and many others.
