DOROTHY DIXON

Dorothy Dixon, 88 of Wagner, was born in Dante on November 10, 1936, the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Mary (Konfrst) Krcil. She died Monday, September 29 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall.
Dorothy attended country school through the 8th grade west of Dante. She worked hard while on the farm and was known as a hard worker her whole life. She worked as a waitress for most of her life. She lived in Yankton, North Dakota, Colorado and California for many years.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Jim Dixon in Las Vegas in 1971.
Thankful for having shared her life are her step daughter Patty Calvert of Riverside, CA, step son Charles Dixon of CA, granddaughter Lacey Calvert and grandson CJ Calvert, both of Riverside, CA; two step great grandchildren: Jenny and James Calvert; brothers: Joe (Irene) Krcil of Wagner and Tony (Rita) Krcil of Wagner; sisters-in-law: Mildred Krcil of Wagner, Linda Krcil of Avon and Judy Krcil of Wagner; and many nieces an nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Jim, two sisters: Frances (Steve) Walloch and Mary Ann (William) Grills; and three brothers: Tom, Frank and Vit Krcil.
Funeral mass was held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Burial will take place at a later date in the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
