DELORIS KUBAL

Memorial Services for Deloris Kubal, 86, of Yankton, formerly of the Wagner area will be held Wednesday, August 10 at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Interment will be at the Scotty Philip Cemetery in Ft. Pierre.

Deloris Kubal was born April 3, 1936 to James and Mary (Soukup) Kubal in Tabor.

She lived on the farm by Ravinia with her father until his passing in 1975.

After staying briefly with several different family members she lived with her brother Laddie, his wife Inez and their family in Rapid City for five years. During this time she attended Black Hills Workshop. She loved making friends there and would always be so excited when the bus would come to pick her up.

Deloris then came to Yankton and resided at the Ability Building Services Group Home for numerous years before declining health brought her to Sunset Manor Avera Nursing Home in Irene. She thrived there under the tender loving care of the Nursing Home staff. She passed away peacefully under Hospice care on August 1, 2022.

Deloris is survived by four siblings: Blanche Smith, Mary Anderson, Laddie Kubal and Hattie Flynn.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, four brothers: Charles, John, James, and Robert Kubal; and 3 sisters: Dorothy Flynn, Stella McKenzie and Charlene Gollnick.
