Due to current health concerns, private funeral services for Delilah “Dee” Patterson, 48, of Salem were held Saturday, December 12. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Delilah Jean “Dee” Patterson was born July 11, 1972 to Phillip Joseph “PJ” Patterson and Elsie Sitting Crow in Armour. Delilah died Tuesday, December 8, 2002 at Avantara in Salem.

Delilah was raised in Ravinia and Lake Andes and also later lived in Rapid City. Dee got her GED in Marty in the early 90’s.

Delilah was a good homemaker and caregiver, helping raise her nephews: Brandon, Chaske and Tristen. She also helped other family members with cooking, cleaning and car-ing for many nieces and nephews. Dee loved playing cards, beading and joking around with family and friends.

Delilah moved to Sioux Falls with her sister Celesta “Tutti” Patterson and her nephews. She then moved to Salem Assisted Living after the passing of her sister Tutti. While in Salem she worked on many different crafts. She painted pumpkins, colored pictures and did lots of decorating for the whole facility every year. She loved coloring, listening to music and watching comedy shows. Her favorite song was Dancing in the Sky.

Delilah loved to laugh. Her humor was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

Delilah is preceded in death by her mother Elsie Sitting Crow, her father PJ Patterson, her sisters Patricia “Patty” Sitting Crow and Celesta “Tutti” Patterson, her brother Mike Wells and her baby Chaske Patterson.

Delilah is survived by her sister Lucy Sitting Crow and her brothers Perry Sitting Crow and David Patterson; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
