DAVID SULLY

David Sully, 59, of Wagner died Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at his home in Wagner. Funeral services were Saturday, January 11 at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

David Daniel Sully was born on January 21, 1960 to Gilbert Sully Jr. and Gloria (Flying Hawk) Sully in Wagner. David grew up in Wagner and attended Wagner Community School and graduated in 1978. While attending school, he enjoyed and excelled in every and any sport he participated in. He was a well-known athlete and enjoyed every moment of his sports days.

David went on to further his education at Black Hills State University and Dakota Wesleyan University. He later began his career at the Fort Randall Casino, where he worked in the security department for 24 years. He retired on September 11, 2014 to fulfill his dream of being a full time Papa.

Davidenjoyedspendinghistime with all of his family. He had a love for NASCAR. Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver. He enjoyed watching the Oakland Raiders play. He also liked playing bingo and chancing his favorite machine, JAZZY.

David met Barb in 1988, fell in love and enjoyed 32 years of life together. They married on May 10, 2019 at the Presbyterian Church. They loved to take drives after work, look around for eagles and watch the sunsets. They enjoyed reading the Bible together and making one another laugh.

After battling his fight with Scleroderma for 16 years, he passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of January 7, 2020. David had a heart of gold, strong faith in God and loved without measurements.

David leaves behind his wife Barbara J. Selwyn-Sully; his children: Douglas, Jeanine, Jason, Jeremy, Bryanna, Chalise, Davitra and Demitri; his brothers: Glenford (Sam) Sully, Gilbert Sully Jr., John Sully Sr. and Mark Sully; his one and only favorite sister MonaLisa (Kevin) Blaine; and 27 grandchildren.

David is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert Sr. and Gloria Sully; brothers: Richard and Douglas; one precious grand baby; a special amigo Grisel Rodriguez and his mother-in-law Delphine Selwyn.
