Wake services for Brycen Day Drapeaux began Monday at the Marty Community Center in Marty. Funeral services were Wednesday, April 1 at the Community Center. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Brycen Day Drapeaux “Wakhangdi Ota Hoksina”, 5 months, made his journey to the Spirit World on March 28, 2020 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN. He left the world comfortably, in his mother’s arms.

Brycen was born three weeks early on October 17, 2019 in Yankton to DeShayla Heth and Bryce Drapeaux. Brycen was a perfect baby. He was bright, loving, happy, always smiling and cooing. He loved watching his favorite show on YouTube, Little Baby Bum, playing with his mobiles and jumping in his jumper. He had the most beautiful eyes and the longest eyelashes. His smile would melt your heart. He was such a special baby and everyone around him felt lucky and blessed to be a part of his life. Brycen was a true Marty Brave fan. His impact on his family, friends and relatives will remain in our hearts and he will be cherished forever!

Brycen is survived by his loving parents, DeShayla Heth and Bryce Drapeaux, grandparents Brian and Casey Drapeaux and Dorothy Frederick and Desmond Heth; great grandfathers Basil Heth and Earl “Puddy” Frederick Jr.; and great-grandmothers Eunice Joseph and Carol Drapeaux; and his many aunties, uncles, grandparents and cousins. Mitakuye Oyasın!
