Funeral services for Bonita Keeble-Hare, 43, were held Monday, November 10 at the Marty Community Center. Burial was in St Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Bonita Christine Keeble- Hare, lovingly known by her family and friends as “Bunz”, passed away on November 4, 2025 in Sioux Falls.

She was born on February 1, 1982 in Wagner to Pamela Hare and Wilfred Keeble.

Bonita was raised by her grandparents, Leafia Hare and Pat Crowe, who instilled in her a deep love for powwows and Native traditions. Her grandpa Pat gave her the nickname “Bunz’ because of the beautiful smile that always lit up her face.

She attended school at St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain and spent much of her life surrounded by family and friends. Bonita loved dancing at powwows with her loved ones, visiting family, and sharing laughter and stories wherever she went.

Bonita is survived by her children: Alan Provost, Isiah Keeble, Hialle Middletent, Ezmiah Middletent, Lynaiah Keeble, and Jazleen Archambeau; her grandchildren: Kayvon Middletent, Alani Keeble, and Cius Keeble; and her siblings: Frances Hare, Wesley “Bud” Hare, Juanita Keeble, Benjamin See Bubray, Ross Hare, and Josh Hare.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son Jakobe Keeble, her mother Pamela Hare, and many other relatives who loved her dearly.

Bonita will be remembered for her radiant smile, her kind heart, and her joyful spirit that touched everyone she met.
