Anna Soulek, 95, went to her heavenly home Friday, July 28 at Avis House in Sioux Falls. There will be a celebration of Anna and Robert's life on Saturday, August 26 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the 4-H Building in Armour. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Anna Soulek (Galland) was born the farm west of Salix, IA to Miles and Ellen (Mogensen) on April 20,1928. She attended Salix School in Salix IA. After graduation, she first worked at shoe store in Sioux City, IA and then worked the A&P Grocery store in Sioux City, IA. On March 14,1948 she was united in marriage to Robert Soulek in Salix,IA. They farmed south of Lake Andes, south of Wagner and moved to a farm southwest of Armour in 1951 where they farmed. She was member of the ArmourCongregationalChurchof Armour. She was active in Ladies Circle, taught Sunday School for a number of years. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing, painting paint by numbers pictures. She loved to repurpose or recycle items. Coffee pot was always on. She died at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls on July 28 at the age of 95. Just before entering Ava’s House; she lived at Trail Ridge Assisted Living in Sioux Falls.

She is survived daughter, Ruth (Jerry) Mack of Sioux Falls, three grandchildren, Kari (Sean) Doyle of St. Augustine, FL, Kathy (Reilly) Licha of Sioux Falls and Kyle (Amy)Mack of Sioux Falls, two great-grandchildren, Kilian and Addison Doyle, her brothers Robert Galland (Marcia),CA and Richard Galland Salix,IA , and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents and three sister-in-laws and their spouses.
