The teams are coached by long-time WCS volleyball coach Tana Langdeaux, who has coached volleyball for over thirty years at WCS and first-year coach, Lauren Bastemeyer. Middle school is divided into three teams A, B and C for their games. This year’s team members are Eva Kjeldgaard, Kendra VanDuysen, Kaylee Zephier, Kaymari Drapeau, Taeya Havranek, Taelyn Knebel, Bella Kotab, Tegan Langdeaux, Jersey McBride, TyShay Medicine Bear, Izzy Myer, LeLonna Picotte, Kaitlyn Zephier, Aulliana Arpan, Mary Ashes, Peyton Drapeau, Raeyon Fool Bull, Eva Freidal, Kymani Gullikson, Sophie Jenson, Camry Link, Emma McNinch, Hallie Roberts, Aspyn Schroeder, Clarah Soukup, Emma Turner, Peytyn Wiechmann and Kenzie Zwanziger.
Read moreIt was a very, very windy day on October 2, and not ideal for a cross country meet. However, rain or shine, wind or calm; these runners must endure. All of the runners felt the pressure of this wind, but it did not stop them from running the race. Wagner along with all of the rest of the runners endured the wind as they raced. The wind was felt especially at the start line as the runners raced into the wind. They had to endure the wind a second time as this was a repeated course where they had to go around the course again to complete their race. The race medaled the top 20 in their races.
Read moreOn Thursday, October 5, the Thunder ran in the Ethan/ Parkston Invite. Despite the cool, windy weather and tough course, the runners did well. In the varsity races, Eilie DeHaan finished 20th with a time of 23:05.56 and Luke Dangel finished with a time of 21:08.13. Renner DeHaan ran his first varsity race ever and finished with a time of 23:03.29.
