Anna DeHaan and Lexi Schoenfelder were the two medalists for the Andes Central/ Dakota Christian Cross Country Team at the Platte Invitational Meet on Saturday, September 24. Anna finished in 8th Place (22:40) while Lexi ended up in 15th (23:23), Eilie DeHaan just missed a medal by 9 seconds finishing in 23rd (24:32). It was a tough day for the Thunder Girls Team who narrowly finished last in the team scoring with 40 points behind Centerville 32, Freeman Academy/Marion 32, Platte-Geddes 34, Burke 34, Gregory 37, and Hanson 38.

Andes Central Jr. High Volleyball team traveled to Wagner for a Jr High Volleyball Tournament on Saturday September 24. Teams included, Avon. Lake Andes, Wagner, Bon Homme, Gregory, Burke, Hanson and Parker. Avon Pirates traveled to Corsica for some Friday night football action. At the end of the first quarter Avon found themselves down 12-22, but came back in the 2nd quarter to add 8 to the scoreboard. ThethirdquarterendedscorelessforthePirates,butCorsica-Stickney ran in a touchdown. The fourth quarter, both teams ran in a touchdown, but as the final buzzer sounded the Pirates found themselves down 28-34 to take the loss.

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Tyndall on Tuesday, September 20th. All three levels came away with wins over the Cavaliers. The Varsity won in 3 straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-14, and 25-11. The JV won in two sets with scores of 25-11 and 26-24, and the C team won in two sets as well with scores of 25-18 and 25-21.
