The AC/DC Thunder ran their first Cross Country meet of the season, Tuesday, August 29th, in Gregory. Eilie DeHaan medaled, taking 6th place in the girls’ varsity race with a time of 24:58. Voni Hubbell graduated from Avon High School in 2012 and continued her education at Dakota State University, whereshegraduated in 2017. She chose to become an English teacher because she really enjoyed English in high school. Voni is happily married to Chris Hubbell, and together they have three children: Kinglee-5, Vonnagail-3, and Champ-1. Somehobbiesthatsheenjoys include baking, singing, and painting.
