Read moreWagner Community School (WCS) welcomed a new cultural coordinator, Jimmy Sanchez, to its halls this 2023-2024 school year. As the cultural coordinator, Jimmy serves as an advisor to the staff and students to make sure that the Oceti Sakowin standards are being implemented throughout the curriculum. He answers any questions that the staff may have and brings an understanding of how materials need to be presented to students from a cultural viewpoint.

Sharon and her late husband Harris contributed so much to this community and their recognition is well-deserved. The following interview was recorded and written by Sharon’s son Milton; the Labor Day Committee would like to thank the entire Haar family for their support these last few months. Read moreThere are five members of the Wagner Community School fall golf team. The team includes sophomore Carter Smejkal, freshmen Avery Medicine Bear and Paxton Kuhlman and seventh graders Kason Jonas and Dakota Charging Eagle. Carter Smejkal will be relied upon in a leadership role because of his experience. They are coached by Chris Kuca who is in his second year of coaching. This is only the second year of fall golf, so they are still working on building a program. Last season the golf team ended the year with six golfers.
