Read moreThe National American Soybean Association met in Washington D.C. the week of July 11th through July 14th. Avons, Tanner Hento was among the members that got to make the trip. The organization met to discuss the concerns and hopes for the next Farm Bill that will be decided on in 2023. Each respective state had the opportunity to meet with their respective representatives in Congress. The South Dakota ASA team compromised of Drew Pe terson, Tanner Hento and Jordan Scott. They had the opportunity to take the trip to have a handson experience in shaping the next farm bill. These individuals were able to meet with John Thune, Mike Rounds, as well as Dusty Johnson to voice the concerns for the average South Dakota soybean grower. The group will be back again in March of next year to hear the updates Congress has in regards to the 2023 Farm Bill, and to discuss with our representatives any additional concerns or topics that may have came up since the last visit.
