Wagner Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at Wagner Lakeside Motel Thursday, May 13. The motel is under new ownership and management. Members were given tour of some of the rooms and also viewed a meeting room which can be rented for graduation parties, business meetings, etc. The motel has 77 rooms with 72 of these rooms available. Spreckels graduated at the top of his class with a 4.0 grade point average, and was awarded the Malco Student of the Year award and the ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) scholarship in his last semester. He also received the Build-Dakota scholarship for his 2-year admission with Mitchell Tech.
