Read moreMay is designated at Older Americans Month and to commemorate this month and honor our older Americans the Library will be the site of a Pie & Games Social, sponsored by LSS Older Adult Resource Network. The social will be held on Tuesday, May 7th from 1-3 pm at the library location at 17 Park Ave. A fun afternoon of cards, puzzles and pie and coffee can be had by all attending. Read moreWith it being prom season, the Lake Andes Senior Living Center crowned their 2024 King and Queen April 13th. The candidates for King were Melvin Chasing Hawk, Randall Spreckles and Paul Fast Horse. The candidates for Queen were Estelle Redlightning, Noreen Bridges and Vae VanDenHoek. These recipients are part of a special “Scholarship Signing Program” that was held in the Wagner School with their family and friends on hand to witness this great educational opportunity. These students are receiving the Yankton Sioux Tribe and Build Dakota Partnership Scholarship, which is a full ride scholarship.
Read morePresident Elect Jordan Weber rang the Rotary Bell with a ferocious whack of the bell that brought everyone to attention immediately! He won’t need any lessons on bell ringing in the future. There were no guests present for the April 22nd meeting, so Pastor/Rotarian Bill Heermann gave a blessing with thankfulness for the food and hope for guidance as all Rotarians go about doing good works in the Wagner Community.

VA officials also said they plan to widen eligibility for veterans who were sickened by herbicides used after World War II in the Demilitarized Zone in Korea in the 1950s and in areas off the shores of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
