Area youth and first-time hunters will have the opportunity to complete their hunter education certification during a three-day course scheduled for March 26–28, 2026. The course will begin Thursday, March 26, and continue Friday, March 27, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.

PIERRE, S.D. – Elderly and disabled South Dakotans have until April 1, 2026, to apply for property tax relief under South Dakota’s Assessment Freeze for the Elderly and Disabled Program.Under the program, a qualifying homeowner’s property assessment is prevented from increasing for tax purposes.
