WAGNER ORAL INTERP PLACES 8TH AT WASHINGTON

By
Mieke Slaba

The Wagner Oral Interp team was on the road again on Friday, October 19th. This time, the Raiders headed to Sioux Falls Washington. With this being the second time they had attended a meet in Sioux Falls within seven days, the interpers were ready for the challenge.

Once again, they competed in the group events of Duet and Reader’s Theater, along with the single events of Non-O, Poetry, Drama, Humorous and Storytelling. They had to perform in three separate rounds and the average of their placings and rankings were what placed them.

The Raiders placed 8th out of 33 teams. This is a fantastic feat for these kids! When they are going against many other schools in the different classes of AA, A, and B; it is a great challenge, and to come out in 8th place is wonderful. Individually placing was Olivia Breen with 4th place while performing her Storytelling piece, “Feival Goes West.”
