Four BHSA girls placed at the Rapid City Girls Wrestling Tournament: Jasmine RuelasHertz-4th, Hadlee Kracht5th, Hope Kemnitz-7th, and Sydney Johnson-8th. Tatum Palsma-100 advanced with two byes, lost to Surianna Walker (SF Washington) by fall in 2:53, won by fall over Alydee Lake (Campbell County,Wyoming) in 3:31, and lost to Paisley Stewart (Aberdeen) 7-0. Sydney Johnson-115 advanced with two byes, lost tp Saraval McGregor (Kelly Walsh, North Dakota) 16-4, won over Abrianna Henderson (Williston, ND) by fall in 2:31, won over Aniyah LoftonWhite (Campbell County, Wyoming) by pin in 4:01, won over Hazel Bodell (Rapid City Stevens) by fall in 2:15, won over Avyn Waldo (Aberdeen) by pin in 4:54, lost to Reva McGaugh (Huron) by fall in 2:33, and lost to Lexi McDole (Rapid City Stevens) by fall in 2:26 for eighth place. Charlie Faehnrich-120 Unattached had a bye, lost to Savannah Bell (Custer) by pin in :51, and to Nevada McMahon (Lead-Deadwood) 10-0. Jasmine Ruelas-Hertz-120 had a bye, won over Emily Ackerman (Campbell County, Wyoming) by fall in 1:39, won over Hyla King (Natrona County, Wyoming) by fall in :48, won over Kaytilane Isom (Williston,ND) by fall in 1:01, lost in the semi-final match to Alexis Brenden (Yankton) by fall in 5:11 after leading 10-0, won over Danika Janssen (Valentine) by fall in 1:41, and lost to Savannah Bell (Custer) 13-3 for fourth place. Harper Kracht-125 had a bye, won over Jozlyn Barrett (Killdeer, North Dakota) by fall in 1:02, won over Camilla Von Eye (Huron) by fall in 5:23, lost to River Bailey (Custer) by fall in :21, and to Caydence Watters (Natrona Co., Wyoming) by fall in 2:15. Hadlee Kracht-130 had a bye, won over Jilian Heisler (Spearfish) by fall in 2:38, won over Lyla Roehrich (Williston, ND) by fall in 1:32, lost to Kanyn Padden (Harding County) by fall in 5:22, won over Olyvia Roscoe (Kelly Walsh, Wyoming) by fall in 1:35, won over Mohrgan Werdel (Miller/Highmore-Harold) by fall in 1:43, lost to Brooklynn Baird (Sturgis) by fall in 3:28, and won over Olivia Kolbrek (Sioux Falls Washington) by fall in 1:22 for fifth place. Hope Kemnitz-190 advanced with two byes, won over Lillian Penn (Sioux Falls Roosevelt) by fall in 1:25, lost to eventual champion Jessica Hite (Custer) by fall in 2:00, won over Tempest Bezirium (Natona County, Wyoming) by fall in 1:19, lost to Lilly Lugo (Bismarck, ND) 12-3, and won by fall over Lillian Penn (SF Roosevelt) by fall in 2:14 for seventh place. Comments: We lost some matches that we could have won and need to work on a few things, but it is early in the season and will get it fixed. The girls worked hard getting 19 pins in this tough tournament. Next competition is the quad in Tyndall on December 16 and the Canton Tournament on December 20.
