The Avon Oral Interpretation team had a very successful season that ended with seven people qualifying for the state competition at Harrisburg High School, which took place on Friday, December 1st, 2023 and Saturday, December 2nd, 2023. The team qualified the following people in the following events: Readers Theatre: Noah Watchhorn, Ella Hamilton, Abby Gretschmann, Lexi Vanderlei, and Jake Namminga, Humorous: Ashley Tolsma, Storytelling: Kate Swier, Duet: Ashley Tolsma and Kate Swier, and Serious: Noah Watchhorn. Readers Theatre, Storytelling, and Duet all received a superior rating for their performances. Avon was also awarded the team excellence award. Thanks to the guidance and direction of coach Sara Hento, the Avon oral interpretation team had a very successful season!
