History continues to be made on the hardwood for Wagner’s Ashlyn Koupal, and the Lady Raiders’ senior is doing it in dominant fashion.

This past Saturday, Koupal etched her name even deeper into the Wagner record books during a 62–42 home victory over Avon. Needing just a handful of points entering the night, Koupal surpassed the school’s all-time scoring mark of 2,065 points—previously held by her aunt, Mandy— while leading the Lady Raiders with a monster all-around performance.

Koupal finished the night with 38 points, 17 rebounds, 9 assists, and 7 blocks, powering Wagner as they pulled away from the Pirates after a 17–13 first-quarter lead. The Lady Raiders outscored Avon 31–14 across the second and third quarters to take control and cruise to the win.

Wagner shot an efficient 57 percent from the floor and dominated the glass 31–16, while dishing out 20 assists as a team. Hannah Holzbauer added 12 points off a strong supporting effort, while multiple Raiders contributed across the stat sheet in a balanced team performance.

The milestone came just days after another historic night for Koupal, when the Lady Raiders traveled to Winner on the final day of 2025 to make up their season opener. In that contest, Koupal broke the single-game scoring record with a jaw-dropping 42-point performance on 16-of-23 shooting in a 63–24 Wagner victory.

She added 14 rebounds, 5 steals, 7 blocks, and 4 assists as Wagner overwhelmed Winner defensively and raced out to a 54–17 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Back-to-back record-setting performances have come to define Koupal’s senior season, but her impact goes far beyond the numbers. Whether it’s controlling the paint, pushing the pace in transition, or setting up teammates, Koupal continues to elevate everyone around her.

With the bulk of the season still ahead, Koupal’s place in Wagner basketball history is already secured. Yet, if recent performances are any indication, she’s not finished writing her story—or adding to the record book.

And for a small-town program built on tradition and family legacy, there may be no better way to do it.

Congratulations, Ashlyn!
