POWERS EARNS PODIUM FINISH AS WAGNER GIRLS COMPETE IN HARRISBURG

The Wagner girls wrestling team traveled to Harrisburg on January 16 for the Harrisburg Invitational meet. The team gained valuable experience against strong opponents, with several wrestlers showcasing determination and grit.

Jaylecia Powers led the way, earning third place in the

155-pound weight class with a 4-1 record, marking a strong showing for the Raiders. Izzy Myer also secured a win in the

110-pound class, finishing 1-2 overall. Other Wagner wrestlers competed hard throughout the day, including Taya Stone (105), Emma Turner (130), Kymani Gullikson (135), Aubrey Kazena

(140), and Rubi Brown Bear (170).

The team looks to build on this experience as they continue the season. Coaches and teammates alike encouraged the girls to keep up the good work and keep improving on the mat.
