Four FCCLA members from Andes Central high school; JJ Cooney, Matt Bryant, Cliffey Johnson and Erica Kitchenmaster, attended the 'YOUth Choose Health!' leadership initiative in Huron.

Howard Valandra, from the Office of the Special Trustee was invited to speak to the Andes Central High School senior government class.

The original South Dakota State Flag was returned to the Secretary of State's Office.

Bev Scott was the $50 winner for week six at the Lake Andes Volunteer Fire Department football contest.

Lake Andes Fire Department were to receive $35,568 as part of the 2005 Assistance to Firefighter Grant program.

Alane Taylor of Blaire, NE, daughter of Roland and Norma Jespersen of Lake Andes recently completed the Heartland 50 Cross Country run.

Stephanie Biddle of Charles Mix County is among those who will represent South Dakota 4-H at the 84th National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, GA.

“A” Football cheerleaders were Cleo Rolston, Linda Birger, Donna Dean, Julie McEntaffer and Connie Nelson.
