Plenty of ribbons were awarded to the many Charles Mix County 4-Hers that participated at the South Dakota State Fair. Sydney Dvorak received 2nd place in the Senior Beef Showmanship and Darby Knoll received 5th place in both the Senior Dairy Cattle Showmanship and Dairy Cattle Judging with a score of 361. Placements for the Skill-a-thon Contests were; Beef: Darby Knoll-1st, Dylan Knoll-13th and Amya Swett-18th; Sheep: Darby Knoll-7th; Goat: Darby Knoll-10th; Swine: Darby Knoll-4th and Amya Swett-5th; Overall: Darby Knoll-3rd and Amya Swett-16th.
Homecoming Royalty for 2015 was Queen Nancy Hernandez and King Michael Brugier.

The winner of $50 for week 1 of the Lake Andes Volunteer Fire Department Sunday night football contest was Rod Payer.
