OVERTIMES CONTINUE FOR ACDC THUNDER
The Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunder arrived at DSU-Madison to play Freeman on January 11 ready to play as they once again played a great game ending in overtime to take the win 31-25. AC/DC ended the first quarter with the lead 9-6 but Freeman fought back closing the gap to end the half at 19-18. Both teams fought hard and ended the third quarter with AC/DC ahead 23-20 and then the buzzer sounded ending the fourth quarter the teams were tied 25-25. The Thunder girls proved too much for Freeman in overtime as they took the win 31-25. Lexie VanderPol was the lead contributor offensively with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Mackenzie Muckey scored 9 points and had 3 steals. Allison Muckey had 8 rebounds and Isabel Pheifer had 12 rebounds and 3 steals. The Thunder team shot 32% from the field sinking 12 of 37 and were 71% from the free throw line sinking 10 of 14. The team had 35 total rebounds but gave up 17 turnovers. Thunder's season record now stands at 4-3.
